Vircon Legal advised Carrtell on its pre-seed round backed by BigInvest and a syndicate of angel investors.
Carrtell is a retail-tech startup building tools that help brick-and-mortar stores optimize in-store experience, layout and customer flow — bringing data discipline traditionally reserved for e-commerce into physical retail environments. The wedge is the structural reality that the operating sophistication of an online retailer dwarfs that of most physical stores, even though physical retail still accounts for the majority of category sales globally; closing that operating gap with affordable, deployable in-store analytics tooling is a durable opportunity.
Retail-tech for physical stores has emerged as one of the more strategically interesting categories at the intersection of computer vision, IoT and traditional retail operations. Türkiye’s combination of a deep retail base, strong engineering talent and a domestic ecosystem of corporate-strategic investors from retail and FMCG groups makes it a credible launching geography for builders in this segment. Pre-seed is the right stage to validate the deployment economics and the operator-facing product workflow with a handful of reference retail chains before scaling to a broader sales motion — a phase where micro-VC and active angel capital is materially more useful than larger institutional rounds.
BigInvest is a Turkish micro-VC and angel platform that backs founders at the idea-to-pre-seed stages, complemented by an active angel syndicate that contributes operating know-how and ecosystem reach. For an early retail-tech founder, having angels with direct experience in physical retail operations is the single most useful asset on the cap table — both for design-partner introductions and for the operational diligence that gates the first paid deployments.
