Vircon Legal advised Janus Interactive on its token sale round led by Evox Capital.
Janus Interactive is a Web3 gaming studio developing community-driven titles that combine traditional gaming mechanics with on-chain economies and player ownership, focused on building durable game franchises rather than one-off NFT drops. The studio’s positioning addresses the central strategic question of Web3 gaming: whether on-chain economies are an add-on to genuinely engaging gameplay, or a substitute for it. Studios on the former side of that line have a meaningfully more durable long-term thesis.
Web3 gaming has been one of the most volatile but strategically important verticals of the broader on-chain consumer category, with capital flows tightly correlated to crypto-market cycles but underlying builder activity remaining steady. Token sale rounds carry materially more legal complexity than equity rounds — spanning securities-law treatment, AML, jurisdictional structuring, vesting design and exchange-listing pathway — and the consequences of sequencing errors are difficult to unwind later. Türkiye’s combination of deep gaming talent and high crypto literacy has made it a credible home base for Web3 gaming founders, particularly as the regulatory perimeter for digital-asset service providers has continued to evolve.
Evox Capital is an early-stage venture investor focused on crypto-native projects across gaming, infrastructure and consumer Web3 — supporting founders building category-defining experiences in the emerging on-chain stack. For a Web3 gaming studio at the token-sale stage, having a lead investor with crypto-native diligence experience and ecosystem reach is a different operating asset than generic gaming capital, and is materially load-bearing through the listing and post-listing phases.
