In January 2025, the “2025 Fintech Trends — Expert Opinions” report prepared by Craftgate included our Managing Partner Erdem Mümtaz Hacıpaşaoğlu in the 2024 summary and 2025 outlook section (page 21).
The central thesis of the report was clear: the impact on Turkey of the global fintech trends businesses must watch for sustainable growth will, in 2025, be shaped by regulatory transformation, the evolution of payment infrastructure, and rising customer expectations.
Mümtaz’s contribution
In the “Expert Opinions” section, Mümtaz shared his outlook on the transformation triggered by Turkey’s 2024 crypto-asset law, tightening oversight in payment services, the KVKK–fintech intersection, and the startup investment climate; for 2025, he flagged the consolidation among licensed players post-regulation and the rise of cross-border payment solutions.
