Bi’ Fikir Bi’ Şirket’17 — Technical Entrepreneurship Festival at Koç University

Vircon Legal — Events

On April 1-2, 2017, at Koç University, the Bi’ Fikir Bi’ Şirket’17 Technical Entrepreneurship Festival was held. The Startup Hukuku team contributed to the festival, with our Managing Partner Erdem Mümtaz Hacıpaşaoğlu joining the session and mentor lineup.

The central thesis of the festival was clear: when the layers university-stage founders need — business canvas, presentation, legal, and technical feedback — come together under one roof, the time-to-market of a venture idea compounds.

Festival scope

Over two days, the festival ran the Technical Entrepreneurship Competition, Business Canvas Training, Presentation Training, IBM Bluemix Training, and a Samsung Innovation Center Tour. Microsoft, IBM Turkey, Samsung Turkey and KWORKS were among the supporters.

Mümtaz and Startup Hukuku’s contribution

Mümtaz contributed with a Startup Hukuku session on legal checkpoints on the road from idea to company, and provided mentorship to participating teams. Among the prizes were a direct slot in the KWORKS pre-acceleration program and the right to pitch to BIC101 investors.

Highlights from this festival

  • Format: Competition + festival, 2 days
  • Supporters: KWORKS, IBM, Microsoft, Samsung, Startup Hukuku
  • Prizes: Acceleration program slot, mentor clinic, investor meeting
