Vircon Legal advised Nerf It! — the project later rebranded as Gameness — on its investment round led by Starters Hub and Unifund. The round closed on 15 December 2022. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed at the request of the parties.
Nerf It! / Gameness sits in the Web3 gaming infrastructure category, connecting competitive gaming, esports tournaments and reward economies on-chain. The product turns player participation, performance and community engagement into tokenized incentives, with applications spanning tournament organization, brand partnerships and creator monetization. The team operates at the intersection of two categories where Türkiye has unusually deep talent pools — mobile and competitive gaming on one side, and on-chain consumer infrastructure on the other.
The investment round was structured to support the technical buildout of the gaming infrastructure stack alongside community and operations scaling. Vircon Legal advised on transaction structuring, subscription documentation, governance and investor-rights mechanics, and post-closing corporate housekeeping. Investment rounds that fund on-chain consumer infrastructure carry meaningful structuring complexity — capital flows have to align with how token economics, regulatory positioning and exchange-listing readiness will eventually be designed.
Starters Hub is one of the most active early-stage venture funds in the Turkish ecosystem, with a portfolio history spanning consumer, gaming and infrastructure companies. Unifund is a venture investor with technology and emerging-category exposure.
The rebrand to Gameness was completed later in the project’s trajectory, and the team subsequently executed a public coin offering — see our earlier note on the Gameness public coin offering for more on the on-chain capital structure that followed this round.
